The Borobudur Temple
Borobudur is a Hindu-Buddhist temple built in the 9th century under the Sailendra dynasty of java.It is located near Magelang on the island of Java, Inbonesia.
Abandoned in the 11th centucy and partially excavated by archaeologists in the early 20th century, Borobudur temple is well-known all over the world. Ifluenced by the Gupta architecture of India, the temple is constructed on a hill 46 m (150 ft) high and consists of eight step-like stone terraces, one on top of the other. The fist five terraces are square and surrounded by wals adorned with Buddhist sculptures in bas-relief; the upper three are circular, each with a circle of bell-shaped stupa (a Buddhist shrine). The entire edifice is crowned by a large stupa at the centre of the top circle. The way to the summit extends througg some 4.8 km of passages and stairways. The design of Borobudur a temple-mountain symbolizing the structure of the universe, influenced the temples built at Angkor, Cambodia.
Borobudur,rededicated as an Indonesian national monument in 1983, is a valuable treasure for Indonesian people.

TOKYO: A Japanese man made his way to a spot about 100 meters (328 ft) adove ground on a famous Tokyo landmark on Sunday.It may have been a reckless attempt to impress a girl.
Japanese private broadcaster “TV Asahi” showed the footage of a man standing on an iron frame on the exterior of the 333-meters Tokyo Tower and unfurling a banner adorned with a large red heart and words that appeared to be the name of a girl.
“Maybe he intended this as a message for someone. I suspect that is the case since it had a heart on it,” a Tokyo police official said.
The man,who claims to be 31,came down from a sport around 100 meters high after being persuaded by the police and was arrested for trespassing,the police official said.
Just how he managed to get up there remains a mystery.
“It’s not clear how he got in and where he began his climb,” the police official said.A Tokyo Tower official said there was no way to get to where the man had climbed from the inside.

He often wears a chunky gold bracelet and has a home made tattoo with the letters DMC or similar on an inside forearm.
His accomplice, Mick is in his 30,of southern European appearance,175 cm tall and of slim build.
